Vox VanDyke (Vanessa Roy), LPC-S, LMHC

Struggling with life transitions, creative ruts, and relationships are difficult in any situation but especially so if you do not follow the heteronormative path. It can be difficult to open up to someone when you are not certain that they understand Queer and Alternative relationship structures. I use a straight forward and individualized approach with each client to build a therapeutic relationship based on specific goals. I focus my work around issues regarding LGBTQ+, sexuality, non-binary and transgender, complex relationships, power dynamics, sexual health, BDSM/Kink, and other alternative dynamics. Although I have years of experience working with children and teens I only see adults at this time.

I use a humanistic and down to earth manner of counseling by blending empathy and experience to connect to my clients. I hold a dual Masters in Expressive Arts Therapy and Mental Health Counseling which allows space for innovative and creative alternative to talk therapy.

I identify as a Queer Trans man and use he/him/they/them pronouns. I am in process of getting my name formally changed to Vox, which I have used with my family and friends for some time now. I moved from Boston about 10 years ago and currently live in Austin, TX with my partner, his son, two cats, and Gary, my psychiatric service dog in training. I own another company in Austin and when I am not working I can be found riding my bike or hitting up coffee shops around town.
